This project highlights a user-friendly design with secure account management, streamlined billing and shipping processes, and interactive customization options, making it a comprehensive solution for art enthusiasts.

Background
Air Magic was created to provide a digital platform for art enthusiasts to explore, customize, and purchase unique paintings. The goal was to make high-quality, customizable art more accessible, blending traditional artistry with the convenience of e-commerce.

The project faced challenges in creating a dynamic customization interface, ensuring a seamless user experience, and developing robust admin tools. Balancing aesthetics with functionality while ensuring security and scalability was critical to delivering a reliable and user-friendly platform.
Discover and Research
To gain insights into the e-commerce market for art, I analyzed popular platforms like Etsy, Society6, and Saatchi Art. By studying their user interfaces, customization options, and purchasing processes, I identified gaps and opportunities for improvement. Feedback from users highlighted the need for a more personalized and intuitive shopping experience, which became the foundation for enhancing Air Magic's design and functionality.

The analysis reveals that competitors like Etsy, Society6, and Saatchi Art lack robust customization, user-friendly navigation, and affordability for casual buyers. Air Magic addresses these gaps by offering seamless customization, accessibility, and an intuitive interface. This positions it as a unique and engaging platform for art enthusiasts.
Scoping
For purchasing and customizing art, competitors support various device platforms, but due to time constraints, it was not feasible to design for multiple devices in the initial version. I decided to focus on designing the web app for the first version to deliver a streamlined experience and prioritize core functionality.
Concept Wireframes
I explored two key directions for the platform: enhancing user acquisition through a visually engaging and easy-to-navigate interface and offering dynamic customization features to promote customer satisfaction. This approach aligns with both business goals and user expectations, creating a balance between functionality and user engagement.
Decisions
While competitors typically display product prices directly on the category or product listing pages, this approach did not align with Air Magic's design goals. I decided to move the pricing to the product detail page to maintain a clean and minimalist look for browsing.
Additionally, instead of focusing on limited customization options like competitors, I decided to implement dynamic customization directly on the product page, allowing users to personalize their paintings in real-time. This decision enhances the user experience and sets Air Magic apart from competitors.

After presenting the design and usability testing results, I received valuable feedback that highlighted areas for improvement. This motivated me to refine the design and conduct another round of testing, leading to a more polished and user-friendly platform.

Result
To better evaluate the platform's effectiveness, future testing will focus on customer satisfaction rates and the impact of dynamic customization features. Additionally, tracking customer retention and order frequency will provide insights into user engagement and long-term value. This approach ensures a continuous improvement cycle for delivering a superior experience on Air Magic.
